"Kintore Primary School has been recognised for its commitment to promoting emotional wellbeing and mental health across the school and with the wider community.

"The Wellbeing Award for Schools (WAS) is delivered by Optimus Education in partnership with the National Children’s Bureau and sets a national standard for promoting positive mental health and emotional wellbeing.

"In a recent survey, 100 per cent of the school’s staff team agreed their wellbeing has been impacted positively as a result of the school focus over the last two years.

"They are also able to show through pupil engagement activity over time that the number of skills children know about to support their emotional wellbeing has increased from a baseline of zero to more than 5.

"They began by engaging pupils, parents and colleagues on school values: Kindness, Respect, Wonder, Wellbeing and Community."
