TERMS & CONDITIONS of THE DECIDER LIFE SKILLS ONLINE TRAINING

Participation in The Decider Life Skills online training course (“Course”) is subject to the following terms and conditions (“Terms”). In these Terms, “we”, “our”, or “us” means Michelle Ayres and Carol Vivyan (trading as The Decider).

Terms and Conditions

Registration and Participation in the Course is governed by these Terms.

We may occasionally review the Terms and reserve the right to change them without notice, by updating this document.

Registration

You agree to and indicate your acceptance of the Terms by:

  • Paying the Course fee and subsequently logging in to the Course.

By accepting the Terms you are indicating that you have read and understand the Terms. If you do not understand any part of the Terms, ask Us or take independent legal advice.

Course Participation

The Course is intended for individuals who work in a teaching, supportive or therapeutic role, with adults or young people. This Course does NOT enable you to train other people who work in such a role, and you must not use The Decider Life Skills for commercial gain.

In order to Register and participate in the Course, you must provide your name, email address and postal address (for delivery of the printed manual) via Paypal. You must therefore ensure that your details are correct at Paypal. If you are unable to use Paypal, then please email us via the Contact form on the website to ask to be invoiced and we will then provide alternative payment details.

The User Profile is personal to you and is not transferable. Login details must NOT be shared with others. We may delete User Profiles in accordance with the Terms. If Your User Profile is deleted, you are prohibited from setting up a new User Profile.

You will have access to the Course Material for a period of four (4) weeks. You will not be able to access the Course Material following such time.

Course Cancellation

In the event that we are unable to provide the Course, then you will be offered a full refund if you have not yet started the course, or a partial refund if you have started the course.

If you have difficulty accessing the Course after receiving login details, please try using different browsers and/or different devices. If you are unable to access the course at all, you must notify us within 24 hours of receiving the login details if you wish to receive a full or partial refund.

Payment

The Course Fee is payable before commencement of the Course. Paypal administers the payment process, and these payment facilities are subject to the terms and conditions of Paypal. We are not responsible and will be excluded from all liability for any loss or damage associated with the use of Paypal.

Continued Professional Development

We will issue, by email, a course completion certificate equivalent to 1 days study, following successful completion of the course.

Termination

We may terminate Your Registration, if in Our reasonable opinion You have breached the Terms. If We terminate your Registration:

  • Your User Profile will be deleted immediately, if applicable
  • You will not be able to access the Course
  • You will continue to be subject to and bound by these Terms

If your Registration is terminated under these conditions, you will not be entitled to a refund or credit of the Course Fee.

Privacy

We collect and store your email address in the User Profile. This information We collect will be maintained in accordance with Our Privacy Policy.

Intellectual Property

The Decider own all rights in relation to copyright, trade marks, designs, patents or other proprietary rights, or any rights to registration of such rights whether existing before or after Registration ("Intellectual Property" or "Intellectual Property Rights") in all material, content and information, including but not limited to files, written text, papers, presentations, books, graphics, images, photographs, logos, trademarks, audio material, video material and any other forms of expression on the Website and in the Course ("Content").

By accepting the Terms, You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to view and print pages from the Course, Course Materials and the Website for your personal use.

You must not, without Our prior written consent, which may be withheld in our absolute discretion:

  • Copy, republish, reproduce, duplicate, extract or create derivative works
  • Reverse assemble, reverse compile or otherwise translate
  • Re-distribute, sell, rent or licence
  • Edit, modify or vary in whole or in part, any Content from the Course, Course Materials and/or the Website.
